The Seoul City Hall women's handball team held a joint training camp with the South Korean women's national handball team at Jincheon National Athletes' Village in North Chungcheong Province from Aug. 4 to 7.
During the camp, the team worked through position-specific tactics and match-simulation drills to sharpen their competitive form.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government Sports Council said Monday the players are determined to perform well at the 107th National Sports Festival, set to be held in Jeju in October. Head coach Jeong Yeon-ho and players Jeong Jin-hui, Woo Bit-na and Jo Eun-bin are members of the national team and are focused on preparations for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, which take place before the festival.
The national team is scheduled to depart for a training camp in Europe on Tuesday before finalizing its roster on Aug. 27. The squad is aiming to reclaim the gold medal at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and erase the disappointment that has lingered since the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games.
