Korea District Heating signed an audit MOU with the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency at its headquarters in Seongnam on Aug. 7.
The agreement aims to generate synergies between Korea District Heating, which supplies eco-friendly energy, and the agency, which oversees industrial accident prevention, by combining their respective expertise to strengthen internal control systems at both public institutions.
The two organizations agreed to cooperate closely on exchanging AI- and data analytics-based digital audit techniques — an area of growing importance — and on deepening expertise in safety and health auditing.
Under the MOU, both sides plan to actively reflect a safety-first management philosophy in their audit operations, proactively adopt advanced auditing methods, and accelerate efforts to establish a fair and transparent audit framework.
Lee Se-geol, standing audit committee member at Korea District Heating, said the partnership with the agency — the leading expert body in occupational safety and health — would raise the company's audit capabilities and contribute to proactive risk prevention. "We will work to lead the way in building an AI-based audit system in line with the era of digital transformation, so that both institutions can establish themselves as public institutions that earn even greater trust from the public," he said.
