Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corp. (GH) held a public information session Monday at the Hanam Gyosan district site to present a specialized landscape design plan for parks and green spaces at the Sangsangok corporate relocation complex in Hanam Gyosan new town.
Representatives from companies scheduled to relocate to the complex, local residents and officials from Hanam City Hall attended the session.
The event was organized to build a demand-driven park shaped by direct resident input. GH presented the complex's basic park and green space plan, key facility and planting schemes, and street tree development proposals, then gathered feedback from attendees.
Following the session, GH will conduct a mobile survey using QR codes alongside an open call for ideas. The initiative aims to collect resident opinions on overall park use — including exercise and rest facilities, walking paths and planting plans — with standout proposals to be actively incorporated into the detailed design.
The Sangsangok corporate relocation complex is a logistics and mixed-use complex being developed in the Sangsangok-dong area of Hanam.
The total site area is 261,315 square meters, of which parks and green spaces — excluding waterways — account for 50,283 square meters.
The complex completed land compensation and resident relocation faster than other project districts within the third-generation new towns, and broke ground on construction in November 2024.
GH President Kim Yong-jin said the corporation would "expand the rapid-progress achievements and experience from the Sangsangok corporate relocation complex to other project districts, shorten the housing supply timeline and contribute to government policy."
He added that GH would "carefully reflect the voices of residents and businesses in the actual project plan to create park and green spaces that satisfy both residents and workers."
