South Korean eyewear brand Blue Elephant announced Thursday the opening of its first US flagship store in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
The Blue Elephant Beverly Hills location spans 660 square meters in the Golden Triangle, the district's premier retail corridor. The area is home to Rodeo Drive and a dense concentration of fashion and beauty brands and restaurants.
The company said the US debut marks a new phase of growth in which it will directly engage global consumers and test its brand competitiveness on an international stage.
Blue Elephant launched its overseas expansion last year by opening stores in Tokyo's Harajuku and Shinjuku districts. It now operates a total of 35 stores across South Korea, Japan and the United States.
The brand plans to use a successful foothold in LA — a global fashion hub — as a springboard to cement its position as a global lifestyle eyewear brand.
Meanwhile, the Beverly Hills store will debut the "LA Exclusive" collection, inspired by California beaches, Hollywood and Beverly Hills.
