The Incheon Metropolitan City Council has adopted "Always by Your Side, Steadfast Assembly" as the official slogan for its 10th term.
The council announced Thursday it selected the new slogan after gathering input from lawmakers and council secretariat staff, saying it captures the direction and identity the 10th-term assembly aims to embody.
The phrase "always by your side" signals the council's intention to stay close to residents' everyday lives, actively listening to their concerns and maintaining open communication.
"Steadfast assembly" reflects a pledge to carry out responsible legislative work so that citizens can rely on the council whenever they need it.
"The new slogan expresses our commitment to staying close to citizens, hearing their voices on the ground, and becoming an assembly they can trust and lean on when it matters," council Speaker Park Jong-hyeok said. "We will pursue responsible legislative activities so that we are recognized as a council that is genuinely helpful in people's daily lives."
The council plans to develop a visual design around the slogan and apply it across its website, press releases, promotional materials and events to communicate the 10th term's legislative direction to the public.
