Nike has unveiled the Pegasus Plus 2, positioning the shoe as a "Tempo Trainer" designed to bring race-day speed to everyday running.
According to the brand, the Pegasus Plus 2 will launch in South Korea in early September. The shoe is built for runners who want consistent performance across a range of conditions — from daily runs and long-distance training to pace work — combining speed and durability to deliver race-day performance at every stage of training.
The Pegasus Plus 2 features Nike's Curved Air Zoom technology. The exposed forefoot unit makes the shoe's propulsive power visible while pairing with ZoomX foam to generate high energy return and responsiveness that belie the shoe's light weight.
Nike's Sports Research Lab closely analyzed the movement of elite Nike athletes and evaluated the in-shoe feel to inform the design. The thickness and pressure of the Curved Air Zoom unit are precisely calibrated by shoe size to maximize energy return.
The Pegasus Plus 2 also reinforces comfort and a secure fit, allowing runners to handle multiple types of running in a single shoe.
