The Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service will operate "HIRA's Health Store" at Gyeongpoho Lake Square in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, from Saturday through Tuesday, the agency announced Friday.
The event will introduce public services closely tied to everyday life, covering five areas: finding quality hospitals in one's area, requesting medical bill verification, accessing non-covered medical fee information, checking one's medications at a glance, and viewing personal medical records.
Visitors can learn about each service and how to use it through hands-on activities such as ball-catching, hand steppers and reflex games. A decibel game, a time-stop game, and subscription events for HIRA's YouTube and Instagram channels will also be available for visitors to enjoy at their own pace.
Each activity station will display QR codes linking directly to HIRA's health information app "Geongang e-eum" and its public services. Participants will receive promotional goods, and a satisfaction survey will be conducted.
HIRA President Hong Seung-kwon said he hopes the event gives visitors to Gangneung a chance to experience the agency's useful services firsthand. "We will continue to communicate actively in the places where people are and work to spread awareness of HIRA's public services that help people in their daily lives," he said.
