The Korea Professional Golfers' Association brought its education programming directly into the heart of the city, unveiling a new format designed to share golf knowledge with both its members and the general public.
The KPGA's Technology and Education Committee held a special seminar, "KPGA Show 2026," at COEX Live Plaza in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on Thursday.
Organizers transformed the open space of the high-traffic COEX Live Plaza into an open-studio live lesson stage. Golf announcer Kim Mi-young hosted the event, while six KPGA tour professionals — Choi Jong-hwan, Lee Seung-ho, Heo Seok-ho, Jang Jae-geun, Lee Si-woo and Kim Gyu-tae — took turns as instructors in a relay-style series of live lessons that ran from morning through the afternoon.
Each session went beyond lectures, with instructors fielding questions directly from attendees in live Q&A segments. The format encouraged two-way dialogue rather than one-way instruction, in keeping with the event's core concept of interactive live lessons.
The Technology and Education Committee plans to continue developing education programs that allow professionals to share their expertise and on-course experience with fellow members. It also intends to expand its educational content beyond traditional venues and formats, reaching new audiences through a wider range of locations and approaches where golf and the public can connect.
