Starbucks Korea unveils Chuseok gift food lineup, opens pre-orders Friday

Starbucks Korea said it will launch five Chuseok gift food products Tuesday.

The lineup comprises a rusk assortment set, a full moon jam Dubai Chewy Cookie set, an almond jeonggwa ("traditional Korean candied confection") set, and two varieties of rice crackers — sea lettuce and peanut flavors. The products will be available at stores nationwide, excluding locations that do not carry packaged food items.

All products come with a dedicated shopping bag and a hang tag inspired by the "moon jar," a classic Korean ceramic form. Starbucks will also release "Ododok Haru Nut & Blueberry," a snack pack containing four types of nuts and blueberries.

"We put great care into both the taste and the packaging design of this year's Chuseok gift food to capture the spirit of the holiday — sharing gratitude and sincerity," said Choi Hyeon-jeong, Starbucks Korea's head of food and beverage development. "We hope these products serve as a special gift for the people who matter most to you."

Meanwhile, Starbucks Korea's online store will accept Chuseok gift pre-orders from Friday through Sept. 14. Three products — a Via assortment set, an origami and mug set, and a three-piece origami set — will be relaunched as online-exclusive items. Customers can use a free delivery service scheduled to arrive on a date of their choosing. Discount coupons, including a cart coupon of up to 20 percent off, and complimentary gifts such as a reusable holiday tote bag, a tumbler travel bag and a full-size umbrella will also be available.
