Applications open Monday through Sept. 4 — 20 university, 16 high school slots
The Uiwang Foundation for Talent Development, chaired by Uiwang Mayor Kim Seong-je, is accepting applications for its second-half 2026 scholarship program.
The foundation runs a range of scholarship projects aimed at helping students focus on their studies and develop their potential. Through this recruitment round, it plans to identify outstanding local talent and provide stable academic support.
A total of 36 recipients will be selected across three categories: 20 university-level Hope Dream scholarship recipients, 15 high school academic excellence scholarship recipients, and one high school special talent scholarship recipient.
All selected recipients will share a total scholarship pool of 56 million won ($40,200). University-level Hope Dream recipients will each receive 2 million won, while high school recipients will each receive 1 million won.
Applications are open from Monday through Sept. 4. Students wishing to apply should check eligibility requirements and required documents on the foundation's website notice board, then submit their application and supporting materials by email or post.
