Jaguar reveals Type 01 interior, emphasizing architectural design

JLR Korea announced Monday that Jaguar has revealed the interior of the Type 01, the brand's first pure-electric luxury four-door GT.

A central spine runs the full length of the cabin, accentuating a sense of depth while creating four distinct interior zones — bringing to production the vision first presented in the concept car. Low seat positioning and a cockpit-style layout wrapping around the driver deliver both comfort and confidence.

The Type 01's interior draws on the enduring beauty of natural stone and the rich texture of handcrafted fabrics to create a layered sensory experience. A brass-inspired finish applied to the central spine continues across the upper door panels, and the Jaguar Leaper emblem is engraved along this signature design element, which spans the full length of the cabin.

"Following Jaguar's design philosophy, we have translated the exterior presence directly into a distinctive interior architecture," said Thomas Holden, Jaguar's head of interior design. "The Type 01 delivers an unrivaled sense of presence and dramatic spatial quality, and will set a new benchmark for modern luxury automotive interiors."

Infotainment technology is integrated as part of the interior architecture to enhance convenience. The digital interface is arranged intuitively so that key functions are immediately accessible. A digital ClearSight rear-view display sits at the base center of the windscreen, level with the side mirrors, allowing the driver to maintain focus on the road ahead.

The Jaguar Type 01 prototype made its North American debut at Monterey Car Week wearing a distinctive new wrap. The special showcase, celebrating Jaguar's storied heritage, concluded Sunday at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

The full exterior design of the Jaguar Type 01 is set to be revealed in New York on Oct. 6.

Meanwhile, JLR Korea recently unveiled the interior of the Range Rover GT — the fifth model in the Range Rover family and one embodying a new interpretation of the brand.

The Range Rover GT is the first pure-electric model built on the new EMA platform, with further details expected later this year.
