Four manual-pick lottery tickets hit jackpot at single store in Gyeonggi

Four manually selected first-prize tickets from the 1,238th Lotto drawing were sold at a single retailer in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province.

According to Dong Haeng Lottery on Saturday, the winning numbers for the 1,238th Lotto drawing were 2, 13, 18, 32, 38 and 42, with 22 as the second-prize bonus number.

A total of 23 tickets matched all six winning numbers to claim first prize. By purchase method, 13 were manually selected, nine were auto-generated and one was semi-automatic.

Notably, four manually purchased tickets sold at a single retailer on Jangji 3-gil in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province all won first prize. Whether the four winners are the same person has not been confirmed.

At a retailer on Donhwamun-ro in Jongno-gu, Seoul, two first-prize tickets were also confirmed — one manually selected and one auto-generated.

By region, Gyeonggi Province recorded the most winners with eight. Busan had three, while Seoul, Gwangyang in South Jeolla Province and South Gyeongsang Province each had two. Incheon, Daejeon, North Chungcheong Province, South Chungcheong Province and North Gyeongsang Province each produced one winner, and one manually selected ticket purchased through an online lottery site also claimed first prize.

Each first-prize winner will receive about 1.2 billion won ($865,000). The 84 second-prize winners, who matched five numbers plus the bonus number, will each receive about 54.64 million won. The 3,235 third-prize winners, who matched five numbers, will each receive about 1.42 million won.

The 156,141 fourth-prize winners, who matched four numbers, will each receive a fixed prize of 50,000 won. The 2,549,183 fifth-prize winners, who matched three numbers, will each receive a fixed prize of 5,000 won.
