Beef promotion board to host national park golf tournament in October

The Yukwoo Beef Promotion Board announced Monday that it will co-host the first Woori Yukwoo National Park Golf Tournament with the Korea Park Golf Federation on Oct. 12 at Seojae Park Golf Course in Dalseong-gun, Daegu.

The event was conceived to promote Woori Yukwoo — a domestic beef prized for its high protein and low fat content — through park golf, a lifestyle sport that has grown widely popular across all age groups. The tournament will be run in partnership with the Korea Park Golf Federation to ensure professional and systematic management.

Registration is open through Sept. 4. The entry fee is 50,000 won ($36) per person.

"We hope the tournament gives many people a great opportunity to look after their health through park golf while experiencing firsthand the taste and nutritional value of Woori Yukwoo, a reliable source of domestic beef and protein," the board said.
