Actor Kwak Dong-yeon enlists in army, shares shaved-head photos with farewell message

Actor Kwak Dong-yeon bid farewell to fans ahead of his mandatory military service.

On Tuesday, Kwak posted several photos on his social media with the message: "I'll be back. I hope you're all staying healthy and happy."

The photos showed Kwak with his head shaved and dyed black, having previously sported a yellow buzzcut.

Other images captured him riding a motorcycle and spending time with friends before his enlistment.

Kwak enlisted in the Army as an active-duty soldier Tuesday to fulfill his mandatory military service obligation. He entered the Army Training Center without an official send-off ceremony and is set to undergo basic military training before being assigned to a unit.

Kwak made his debut in 2012 through the KBS 2TV drama series "My Husband Got a Family." He went on to appear in "Love in the Moonlight," "Vincenzo" and "Queen of Tears." Most recently, he drew wide attention for his role as the crown prince in "The East Palace," a Netflix original series.
