Hanjin announced Tuesday that it had launched an emergency water donation to support residents and recovery workers in Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province, which was severely damaged by recent heavy rainfall.
Working with Geoje City Hall, Hanjin delivered 300 boxes — 9,000 bottles total — of 0.5-liter Hanjin Jeju Pure Water to the affected areas.
The donation was aimed at helping flood victims who struggled to secure drinking water after water service disruptions, as well as volunteers and officials working on recovery efforts at the scene.
Hanjin drew on its logistics capabilities as a comprehensive freight company to quickly transport the water to the disaster zone.
"We hope this helps the residents of Geoje recover their daily lives as quickly as possible," a Hanjin official said. "We will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibility going forward."
Meanwhile, Hanjin has also been actively expanding customer touchpoints, including taking over dedicated return pickup services for products arriving at Naver's integrated returns center starting Friday.
