County chief Kim says growth of local contractors is 'vital foundation' for job creation and economic vitality
Yeoncheon-gun County Chief Kim Deok-hyeon hosted a meeting Monday with officials from the Korea Specialty Contractors Association, including Central Chapter President Yun Hak-su, Gyeonggi Province Chapter President Lee Seong-su and Yeoncheon-gun Chapter President Jo Un-gyu, to strengthen cooperation and promote the mutual development of the local construction industry.
At the meeting, association officials expressed gratitude to Yeoncheon-gun for its sustained efforts to communicate with the specialty construction sector, expand participation opportunities for local contractors and work toward shared growth.
Participants agreed that close communication and cooperation between local government and the construction industry are essential to creating a stable environment for local contractors to grow. They also exchanged views on ways to invigorate the local construction sector and expand local firms' participation in projects.
"The growth of local construction companies is a vital foundation that leads to job creation and economic revitalization," Kim said. "We will continue to listen to voices from the ground in the specialty construction sector and work to ensure that local firms can participate on fair terms."
Yeoncheon-gun plans to maintain ongoing dialogue with relevant associations and local construction companies to strengthen the competitiveness of the local construction industry and build a cooperative foundation for the county and the sector to grow together.
