Miele to unveil AI-powered dishwasher, new laundry appliances at IFA 2026

German premium appliance brand Miele announced Thursday it will unveil a range of new products at IFA 2026, the world's largest consumer electronics show. The lineup includes the G8 dishwasher series — the brand's first to feature an AI-based camera — along with new W2 washing machines and T2 tumble dryers.

Miele will use IFA 2026, which opens Friday, to showcase what it calls future-ready home appliances built on AI and smart technology.

The company plans to present the G8 dishwasher series, which uses AI and automation to improve washing convenience; new induction cooktops and range hoods designed for diverse kitchen layouts and cooking styles; the updated W2 washer and T2 dryer with better energy efficiency and usability; and the Duoflex HX2, a cordless vacuum that combines dry vacuuming, wet mopping and self-cleaning in a single system.

The G8 is the first Miele dishwasher to incorporate an AI-based camera. It detects how dishes are loaded and identifies their type, then automatically selects the appropriate wash settings. In ECO mode, it uses up to 25 percent less energy than the Energy Efficiency Class A benchmark.

In kitchen appliances, Miele is expanding its induction and hood lineup. The premium KM 8000 induction series gains new color options and integrates the MSense smart cooking system, which links cookware to the cooktop and automatically adjusts output based on cooking conditions.

The W2 washing machine and T2 tumble dryer feature a new design and a capacity of up to 11 kilograms, with high energy efficiency and a range of convenience functions. Alongside this, Miele will present a future-oriented laundry concept that combines the company's 127 years of laundry expertise with AI and intelligent sensor technology.

Ahead of the 100th anniversary of Miele vacuums next year, the company will also unveil the next-generation cordless Duoflex HX2. The new model integrates dry vacuuming, wet mopping and product maintenance into a single system, improving overall cleaning convenience.

Miele will also introduce a new AI-driven digital kitchen experience. CulinaryCoach, an AI-based cooking assistant built into the Miele app, recommends suitable cooking methods based on what the user wants to prepare and guides them through each step of the process.

Daniel Vladimirov, Miele's vice president of sales for Germany, said at the IFA opening event held in Berlin in June, "New technology only becomes meaningful when it makes customers' lives noticeably more convenient." He added that Miele would continue developing solutions that offer greater convenience and save time, helping customers spend more of their lives on what matters most to them.
