Sixth participation in commercial vehicle segment since 2010 debut
New trailer and winter tires among products to be unveiled at Hanover show
Hankook Tire & Technology announced Friday it will participate in IAA Transportation 2026, the world's largest commercial vehicle exhibition, to be held in Hanover, Germany, from Sept. 15 to 20 (local time), where it will present its latest truck and bus tire (TBR) technologies and products.
IAA Transportation is a global trade show where automakers and parts suppliers showcase the latest technologies and mobility solutions in the commercial vehicle industry. This year marks Hankook Tire's sixth participation in the commercial vehicle segment since its debut at the show in 2010.
At the exhibition, the company will unveil a portfolio of truck, trailer and bus tires featuring its Smartec (Smart+Technology) platform, along with new large-scale cargo and tractor tires designed for trailer operations and winter driving conditions. Smartec is a TBR technology platform that comprehensively enhances key performance attributes, including safety, mileage, chip-and-cut resistance, retreading capability and braking performance.
Hankook Tire will also introduce a range of products tailored to different transport environments, including the Smart Line for high-speed long-haul routes, Smart Flex for medium- to long-distance operations, and e-Smart City for electric urban buses.
The company will also present a product and service portfolio designed to support efficient fleet management for transport operators — featuring the LF95+ trailer tire and Alphatread retread tire from Laufenn, its global brand, as well as the Hankook Smart Fleet tire management solution.
The booth will also display a 3D-printed sustainable concept tire developed through the company's Design Innovation Project and the Wheelbot 2, which incorporates a triaxial spherical tire structure, showcasing Hankook Tire's vision for future tire technology and design innovation.
Beyond IAA Transportation, Hankook Tire consistently participates in major European commercial vehicle events, including the Road Transport Expo in the United Kingdom, the transport and logistics trade fair in Germany, and The Tire Cologne.
Meanwhile, Hankook Tire has been expanding its global customer touchpoints through a range of marketing activities, including its recent sponsorship of the 2026 London-Brighton EV Rally, the United Kingdom's largest electric vehicle festival.
