The Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education announced Friday that 1,868 of 2,135 candidates passed the second round of the 2026 equivalency exams, for an average pass rate of 87.5 percent.
By level, 127 of 140 candidates passed the elementary school equivalency exam (90.7 percent), 287 of 307 passed the middle school equivalency exam (93.5 percent), and 1,454 of 1,688 passed the high school equivalency exam (86.1 percent).
The oldest passer in each category was a 79-year-old woman surnamed Jin at the elementary level, a 71-year-old woman surnamed Kim at the middle school level, and an 81-year-old man surnamed Han at the high school level.
Results are available on the Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education website from 10 a.m. Friday. Certificates of completion will be issued through Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the equivalency exam support office on the first below-ground floor of the education office's main building.
Certificates of passing, academic transcripts and subject-level passing certificates can be obtained after the results announcement at the civil affairs offices of the Incheon education office and district education support offices, at elementary, middle and high school administrative offices, and through the Government24 online portal.
