Hongcheon-gun County Chief Shin Young-jae held a close-contact dialogue session with residents Wednesday, engaging them face-to-face within arm's reach.
Shin has held such sessions since November 2023.
On Wednesday afternoon, Shin hosted a "County Chief and Residents Communication Day" at the Hongcheon Eumter community space inside the Hongcheon traditional market, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The event is a resident participation program that allows any resident to meet directly with the county chief to raise lifestyle concerns or submit suggestions.
At the venue, Shin sat down informally with residents, listened closely to a wide range of suggestions and sought solutions to the issues they raised.
"The Hongcheon Eumter is a communication space where we listen to residents' voices up close and connect them to county administration," Shin said. "I will make every effort to hear residents' lifestyle opinions and suggestions directly and reflect them in county governance."
