Pop-opera singer Gu Hyeon-mo, fusion gugak band to perform; 'The King's Warden' to screen
Uiwang will hold an outdoor cultural event at the lawn plaza of Baegunghosu Park on Saturday, offering residents a free evening of live performances and a film screening.
The event, called "Dotsari Munhwa Salon" (a picnic-blanket culture salon), requires no ticket — attendees need only bring a mat to enjoy an autumn night of entertainment in the city's park.
From 6:30 p.m. to 7:20 p.m., pop-opera singer Gu Hyeon-mo and fusion gugak band Gugakin Gayo will take the stage. The screening of "The King's Warden" will follow from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Food trucks will also operate at the venue, offering snacks and drinks for purchase to complement the evening's program.
"I hope residents will come out with family, friends and neighbors to enjoy the salon on an autumn night and create cherished memories," Uiwang Mayor Kim Seong-je said. "We will continue to develop diverse programs so that culture and leisure can become part of everyday life for our citizens."
As the event is held outdoors, the film screening may be canceled in the event of rain. Further details are available on the Uiwang city government website under the notices section.
