YouTuber Lalal has drawn attention after revealing she lost 10 kilograms in 18 days — without the help of weight-loss drugs such as Mounjaro or Wegovy.
A video titled "Week 3 of sobriety — what's changed" was posted to her "Lalal ralral" channel on Sunday.
In the video, Lalal said she had reached her 18th day without alcohol. "I started because I wanted to be a mother Seobin could be proud of, and because I wanted to live my life differently," she said.
"Don't I look thinner?" she said. "I've genuinely gone from 77 kilograms down to 67 — about 10 kilograms lost."
She was clear that no medication was involved. "I haven't touched Mounjaro or Wegovy — this is purely my own willpower," she said. "I feel very proud of myself."
Lalal described several physical changes since losing the weight. "First, the whites of my eyes have cleared up," she said. "They were always bloodshot, and a lot of the puffiness has gone down too."
She then pointed to her collarbone. "Can you see my collarbone? It wasn't there before," she said.
Lalal said she plans to stay sober for now. "I want to keep going until I reach a point where I can truly moderate myself," she said. "I'm going to stay off alcohol until I feel like I'm in control."
She also tempered expectations about the pace of her weight loss. "It's not like the kilograms are just melting off," she said. "I run occasionally and think of it as something I'm doing for my health — so it's slow, but it's steady."
Meanwhile, Lalal announced in February 2024 that she had married a non-celebrity man 11 years her senior and was pregnant. She welcomed her daughter Seobin in July of that year.
