Police responding to domestic violence call find 40 syringes at woman's home — she tests positive for meth

Police responding to a domestic violence call found dozens of syringes suspected of being used for drug injection at a woman's home and arrested her.

Suwon Yeongtong Police Station booked a woman in her 30s, identified only as A, on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act through drug use, according to Yonhap Monday.

A is suspected of injecting methamphetamine at her residence in Maetan-dong, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon.

Officers were dispatched to her home around 1 a.m. Monday after she called to report intimate partner violence. While surveying the scene, they found more than 40 disposable syringes believed to have been used for drug injection.

Police took A to the station for questioning, during which she reportedly admitted to using methamphetamine. Preliminary drug tests on her urine and residue found in the syringes both returned positive results for methamphetamine.

Police plan to send samples collected from A, along with the syringes recovered at the scene, to the National Forensic Service for further analysis. They booked her based on the test results and her statements.
