Yangcheon-gu held a signing ceremony Monday afternoon at the Hanuri Town Art Hall, formalizing partnerships with 32 local care service providers under its Care SOS project to strengthen the district's community care network.

Yangcheon-gu District Mayor Lee Gi-jae attended the ceremony alongside center directors and staff from the participating organizations, where all parties pledged to ensure stable and cooperative delivery of local care services. Following the exchange of agreement documents between the district mayor and representatives of the provider organizations, each institution shared its designated role and cooperation plans to enable faster and more appropriate service delivery to residents in need.

The agreements cover five new organizations and 27 renewals. By service category, the 32 providers are divided into temporary home care (7), accompaniment support (13), residential convenience (7), meal delivery (4) and short-term facility care (1). Starting Tuesday, the partner organizations will deliver these five categories of care services based on residents' individual needs, supporting their return to daily life.

After the signing ceremony, district officials held a practical training session for frontline staff from the provider organizations, covering an overview of the Care SOS project and its operational performance, as well as service delivery procedures and quality management methods. The session aimed to deepen understanding of the care program, align service standards across organizations, and strengthen both on-site responsiveness and professional expertise.

The Care SOS project provides tailored care services to residents who face difficulties in daily life due to sudden illness, accidents or the absence of family members. The district assesses care needs through on-site visits, draws up individualized support plans and connects residents with the appropriate service providers. In 2025, the district coordinated and delivered a total of 4,250 customized care service cases.

Beyond one-time service provision, the district also links residents to five longer-term support services — welfare check-ins, care system referrals, case management, emergency assistance and health support — maintaining a continuous care framework that looks after residents' overall daily lives.

"Close cooperation with provider organizations throughout the community is essential if residents who need care are to receive the right services at the right time, where they already live," District Mayor Lee said. "We will join forces with the organizations that meet residents most directly on the ground, build a care system with no gaps, and ensure residents can go about their daily lives with peace of mind."
