'Pray for Nepal': Actor Song Seung-heon mourns victims of deadly Himalayan floods

Actor Song Seung-heon paid tribute to the victims of the devastating floods that struck Nepal.

On Sunday, Song posted a brief message on his social media — "#Pray for Nepal" — without further comment.

The disaster began Sunday, when a glacial collapse triggered massive flooding along the Himalayan mountain range on the Nepal-China border, causing heavy casualties.

Nepal's National Disaster Management Authority said Monday (local time) that the death toll within Nepal had risen to at least 939, while revising the number of missing persons down to 3,925 — including 592 foreigners — a reduction of roughly 320 from the previous count. No explanation was given for the downward revision, including whether some of those previously listed as missing had been confirmed dead.

Combined with figures from Chinese authorities, which recorded 16 deaths and 546 missing — including 261 foreigners — in the Tibet Autonomous Region, the overall toll stands at a minimum of 955 dead and 4,471 missing.
