North Gyeongsang Province announced Tuesday that its online agricultural and specialty products mall, Saiso, will hold a series of Chuseok special events throughout September ahead of the holiday.
The province has organized a Chuseok gift set showcase featuring products that participating vendors have discounted by at least 10 percent, making it easier for shoppers to find practical holiday gifts.
A separate "Gyeongbuk Juansang" showcase will pair local traditional liquors with recommended snacks. Customers who purchase both a traditional liquor and a snack item will receive up to 30 percent off the snack product.
The mall will also offer "Saiso Chuseok discount coupons" providing up to 20 percent off depending on the purchase amount.
"We designed the event so that consumers preparing Chuseok gifts can easily and enjoyably find quality North Gyeongsang products that suit their tastes and budgets on Saiso, rather than struggling to compare prices and items elsewhere," said Park Chan-guk, director general of the province's agriculture, livestock and retail bureau.
