Gangnam-gu's integrated employment support center website has significantly expanded accessibility for job-seeking residents with disabilities starting Tuesday. The district plans to expand private-sector job listings by tapping into the Seoul Metropolitan Government's disability employment infrastructure.
Gangnam-gu has revamped the website of its integrated employment support center, adding a dedicated "Jobs for People With Disabilities (Private Sector)" menu starting Tuesday to improve information access for job-seeking residents with disabilities and boost connections to private-sector employment.
As of July 2026, Gangnam-gu had 15,467 registered residents with disabilities — the 12th highest among Seoul's 25 autonomous districts. The district launched the initiative to expand its existing job-listing system by integrating private-sector employment information and proactively address the needs of job seekers with disabilities.
Previously, job seekers had to search through multiple agencies to find scattered public and private-sector job postings. The revamped site now allows users to browse job listings, tailored training programs and employment support resources in one place. The overhaul was carried out through interdepartmental collaboration between Gangnam-gu's Employment Policy Division and Smart Information Division at no additional cost.
Detailed job postings for people with disabilities are available under the "Jobs for People With Disabilities (Private Sector)" menu within the job listings section of the Gangnam-gu Integrated Employment Support Center website.
Going forward, the district plans to expand private-sector job listings through collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Disability Employment Center, and to work with the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities to select and certify companies with strong disability hiring records — with the aim of uncovering more quality private-sector jobs.
In addition, the district said it will continue building a comprehensive employment support infrastructure, including customized vocational training and the identification of new job categories suited to workers with disabilities.
"The website overhaul allows us to deliver job information to residents with disabilities in a more systematic and timely manner," Gangnam-gu District Mayor Kim Hyun-ki said. "We will spare no administrative effort to help job seekers with disabilities secure real private-sector employment and achieve economic independence."
