Two road vacuum cleaners to be provided
KT&G signed an MOU with the Buk-gu district office in Gwangju to improve the urban environment, the company announced Wednesday.
Under the agreement, KT&G and Buk-gu will jointly carry out initiatives to create a cleaner city environment, including lifestyle cleanup activities aimed at reducing waste.
As an initial step, KT&G will provide two road vacuum cleaners for environmental beautification work in the district, including suction of dust, litter and other pollutants from roads and walkways.
KT&G has been pursuing environmental management under its "KT&G Green Impact" vision.
Shim Young-a, head of KT&G's ESG management division, said the company would "continue to work with local communities to help build a better living environment."
