The Korea Credit Guarantee Fund has teamed up with NICE Information Service to develop a credit information service tailored to technology companies. The two organizations plan to link KIBO's technology assessment data with NICE's corporate credit information, enabling a comprehensive view of a company's financial standing, creditworthiness, technological capabilities and growth potential.

KIBO announced Wednesday that it signed an MOU with NICE Information Service on Tuesday at NICE's headquarters in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, to pursue an "AI-based technology and credit information service project specialized for technology companies."

Under the agreement, the two organizations will jointly identify new credit information projects using AI and data, and develop services specifically designed for technology firms. To that end, they will share and jointly utilize their respective technology and credit data. They also plan to conduct joint marketing to expand the reach of related credit information services and pursue broader strategic cooperation in the credit information sector.

Specifically, the initiative will combine corporate financial and credit data with KIBO's technology innovation information and its Innovation Growth Capability Index, known as the Tech-Index — a metric that evaluates a company's technological capabilities and growth potential. KIBO said the combined data will allow for a comprehensive assessment of technology-focused small and medium-sized enterprises, going beyond what traditional financial and credit information alone can reveal to include technological strength and future growth prospects.

KIBO obtained a license to operate in the credit information business in September 2024 and has since been building the infrastructure needed to provide credit information services. In June, it signed a data supply agreement with NICE and has been working to offer credit information services, including a "Corporate Innovation Growth (K-BIGx) Report" containing customized technology innovation data for individual companies.

The two organizations said they plan to use the MOU as a springboard to broaden the scope of their technology and credit data integration, and to continuously develop new content and services tailored to technology companies.

"We have laid the groundwork for a more multidimensional analysis of technology-focused small and medium-sized enterprises by combining KIBO's accumulated technology assessment data with private-sector corporate credit information," KIBO Chairman Kwon Hyung-taek said. "We will continue to expand cooperation with private specialized institutions and develop differentiated AI-based credit information services."
