Kim Jong-min boasts Yeong-tak gave generous wedding gift

Kim Jong-min, a member of the mixed-gender group Coyote, showed off the wedding gift he received from fellow singer Yeong-tak.

On Wednesday's episode of the KBS 2TV variety program "Superman Is Back," former fencing athlete Kim Jun-ho and his sons — known together as the "Woo Brothers" (Eun-woo and Jeong-woo) — met Yeong-tak.

The boys were thrilled when Yeong-tak arrived, as his song "Jjin-i-ya" is one of their favorites. When Yeong-tak asked, "Do you know who your uncle is?" the brothers recognized him as the "'Jjin-i-ya' uncle." Kim Jun-ho and Yeong-tak first met through a broadcast program and have kept up their friendship for five years.

Kim Jong-min also revealed his own unexpected bond with Yeong-tak. "We've appeared on a lot of shows together," he said, adding that Yeong-tak had attended his wedding and left a generous cash gift. When co-host Lalal pressed him for the amount, Kim Jong-min said only, "It was the best — a lot," praising Yeong-tak's big-hearted loyalty.

Special MC and singer Kwon Eun-bi, who also appeared on the episode, drew notice when she expressed her own gratitude, saying Yeong-tak had helped her with a dance challenge she had asked him about at the time.

Meanwhile, Kim Jong-min married a non-celebrity 11 years his junior last year.
