Group of 60 to include general public, experts
Members to serve 10 months through June next year
Participants to take part in online surveys on management
Kangwon Land plans to examine unreasonable practices from the public's perspective and develop tailored improvements. The company aims to raise the quality of public services that people experience in their daily lives through evaluations and review sessions involving participants from diverse backgrounds.
Kangwon Land announced it will recruit members for the seventh cohort of its "People's Innovation Group" from Friday through Sept. 13 — a 10-day window — to gather public input and identify innovation tasks that citizens can tangibly feel.
Now in its seventh year, the group will consist of 60 members drawn from the general public, experts and social media influencers, and will be active from September this year through June next year. Any person aged 20 or older is eligible to apply, and the initiative aims to incorporate a wide range of public voices into the company's management.
Selected members will carry out three types of activities during their tenure: online surveys on overall management, proposals for public-facing innovation tasks and ideas, and participation in various events and review sessions. Through these activities, members will examine Kangwon Land's management and services from the public's perspective and suggest practical improvement ideas.
Kangwon Land plans to use the group as a standing channel for ongoing communication, incorporating diverse opinions into the process of setting management strategies and innovation tasks. The company also intends to draw on public input to improve services in line with a changing environment driven by AI and digital transformation.
Meanwhile, Kangwon Land this year established a separate industry-academia innovation group to proactively respond to the AI and AI transformation (AX) paradigm. Working through an industry-academia partnership with Seoul Women's University, the group will use AI, big data and related technologies to identify challenges facing the company and seek solutions by incorporating creative ideas from younger generations.
