T'way Air introduces aircraft in Trinity Airways livery, accelerating brand transition

T'way Air announced Thursday that it has introduced an aircraft featuring Trinity Airways' new livery, marking a formal step in its brand transition.

The newly delivered aircraft is a B737-8, the first to carry Trinity Airways' updated corporate identity and brand design on its exterior. The plane is set to enter service on the Gimpo-Jeju route when Trinity Airways begins operations on Sept. 10.

On Tuesday, T'way Air held a ceremony at Gimpo International Airport, attended by company executives and staff, to celebrate and inspect the newly liveried aircraft. Crew members wearing Trinity Airways' new uniforms also took part to mark the launch under the new brand.

Trinity Airways' B737-8 is a next-generation aircraft equipped with the high-efficiency LEAP-1B engine, offering improved fuel efficiency and reduced carbon emissions compared with equivalent older models.

T'way Air plans to continue introducing aircraft in Trinity Airways' new livery, starting with this delivery. Existing aircraft in the fleet will also be repainted in the new design on a rolling basis. During the transition, the Trinity Airways name will be displayed on aircraft to minimize customer confusion and allow passengers to gradually familiarize themselves with the new brand.

T'way Air, which recently unveiled its Selective Service Carrier strategy and is set to begin operating as Trinity Airways on Sept. 10, plans to further strengthen its position as a leading carrier by continuing to bring in next-generation aircraft — including the wide-body A330-900NEO and additional B737-8s — before the end of this year, building differentiated service and route competitiveness.

"With the introduction of the first aircraft bearing Trinity Airways' new livery design, preparations for the brand transition are proceeding smoothly," a T'way Air official said. "Starting with the launch of operations on Sept. 10, we will do our best to ensure customers can experience Trinity Airways across a wide range of touchpoints."

Meanwhile, T'way Air's Incheon-Paris route, which launched its inaugural flight on Aug. 28, 2024, has logged a cumulative passenger count of approximately 200,000 over the past two years. The carrier also recorded an average load factor of around 90 percent across all international routes in the first half of this year.
