Hwaseong held an integrated support council meeting and site tour Thursday at the community center of Hwaseong On Iumchae Care Safe Housing in Jinan-dong, Byeongjeom-gu.

The event was organized after Hwaseong Special City was selected as a top-performing municipality for integrated support council operations by Gyeonggi Province, with the aim of sharing its experience and best practices in integrated care.

The 31st integrated support council meeting, led by Hwaseong's integrated care division, drew about 35 civil servants responsible for integrated care from 13 cities and counties across the province, including Gyeonggi Province's welfare policy division and representatives from Yongin, Seongnam, Hanam, Goyang, Ansan, Guri and Osan.

Participants reviewed Hwaseong Special City's procedures for running the integrated support council and the process by which individualized care plans are finalized and adjusted, gaining a firsthand look at how integrated care services are coordinated in practice.

A question-and-answer session followed, during which attendees exchanged practical information and operational experience needed to run integrated support councils and discussed how each municipality manages its own programs. Participants then toured the Hwaseong On Iumchae facility to examine its spatial layout and current operations.

Hwaseong Special City is currently taking part in Gyeonggi Province's integrated care city initiative, advancing 13 specialized projects covering healthcare, health management, daily living support and residential assistance.

As of Monday, the city had recorded 990 applicants for integrated care services, placing it among the top performers in Gyeonggi Province.
