Nominee's personal declared assets stand at 216.61 million won
Hong Ji-sun, nominee for minister of land, infrastructure and transport, has declared total assets of 829.87 million won ($606,000), covering deposits, real estate and other holdings registered under her name and those of her spouse, mother and children.
According to a confirmation hearing request submitted to the National Assembly on Thursday, Hong declared a jointly owned apartment in Guro-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul, valued at 1.005 billion won.
Her personal declared assets came to 216.61 million won.
That figure reflects her half-share of the jointly owned apartment — valued at about 500 million won — a 2016 Sonata worth 6.57 million won, deposits of 154.54 million won, and financial liabilities of 447 million won.
Her spouse declared total assets of 282.62 million won, comprising a share of the jointly held apartment, a 2009 Audi A6 valued at 4.54 million won, deposits of 15.58 million won, stocks worth 480,000 won, financial liabilities of 70.48 million won, and private debt of 170 million won.
The couple's child declared deposits of 700,000 won.
Hong's mother declared assets of 329.95 million won, including an apartment in Janghang-dong, Ilsan Dong-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, valued at 325 million won, and deposits of 24.95 million won.
