Brand expands into northern Seoul after Gwanghwamun, Jamsil launches
Yeongpung Books tie-up to feature dishes from literary classics
Ourhome announced Friday it will open the third location of its buffet brand TAKE in Mia Sageori, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, in November.
Mia Sageori is Gangbuk-gu's main commercial district, backed by a dense cluster of large apartment complexes that provide a stable base of local demand. The new outlet will be housed in Y-Square, which connects directly to Mia Sageori Station on subway Line 4, ensuring strong foot traffic.
Ourhome opened TAKE's first location near Jonggak Station in the Gwanghwamun district in May. Next month, it will launch a second location at Lotte World Adventure in Jamsil, Songpa-gu, Seoul. The third location, opening in November, will seat 290 guests across roughly 998 square meters.
The first location logged 90,000 cumulative visitors as of late August. Lunch and dinner reservations filled up quickly from the start, and walk-in queues have remained a fixture since opening.
TAKE is rolling out a new autumn menu. Through November, the brand will run an "Autumn Street Festival" theme — billed as a culinary journey through the world's back alleys — featuring about 25 new dishes drawn from distinct regional cuisines around the globe.
The brand is also staging a "Pop-up Table" series, pairing menus and content with outside collaborators. Drawing on the first location's home in Yeongpung Building, Ourhome has teamed up with Yeongpung Books for a "TAKE BOOK CLUB" running through Nov. 10, reinterpreting dishes that appear in works of literature.
The lineup includes clam chowder from Herman Melville's "Moby-Dick," sausage Neapolitan inspired by Yaro Abe's "Midnight Diner," and eel-and-cucumber thin rolls drawn from Daisuke Terasawa's "Sushi Master." In May, a collaboration menu featuring Samyang Foods' Buldak hot sauce drew considerable buzz.
"TAKE continues to offer a differentiated dining experience by consistently introducing diverse cuisines from around the world alongside fresh content," an Ourhome official said.
