Gimpo opens its first full 18-hole park golf course Sept. 14

Gimpo will open its first full 18-hole park golf course to the public.

The city announced Friday that Solter Park Golf Course, built across the Masan-dong and Janggi-dong areas, will officially open Sept. 14.

The course is an 18-hole recreational sports facility featuring two distinct layouts — a flat nine-hole course and a mountain-style nine-hole course.

Night lighting has been installed so players can use the facility in the evening as well as during the day.

Regular hours run from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. On public holidays, the course operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The facility operates in groups of four, with a maximum of 72 players per session. Up to eight people may join a waiting list to fill spots opened by cancellations.

The fee is 3,000 won per visit. Visitors from outside Gimpo will be charged an additional 50 percent on top of the base rate.

Reservations will be split between online bookings, which account for 70 percent of available slots, and on-site registration, which covers the remaining 30 percent. The walk-in option was included to ensure access for residents less comfortable with online booking.
