LG Electronics named best brand at IFA 2026

LG Electronics announced Friday that it won "Best Brand of IFA 2026," the top honor at the Innovation Awards held during IFA 2026, Europe's largest consumer electronics fair. The award validates the company's innovation credentials despite intensifying competition from Chinese home appliance makers.

The Best Brand award was introduced last year as the highest distinction in the IFA Innovation Awards. It is given based on an overall assessment of brand excellence, covering technological innovation, market influence and design.

Beyond the top brand honor, LG Electronics further demonstrated its product-level competitiveness. The next-generation wallpaper TV, the LG Signature OLED W, took the best-in-class prize in the home entertainment category, while the home audio system LG Sound Suite won top honors in the audio category. In total, seven LG products were recognized at the awards.

The LG Signature OLED W drew considerable attention on the IFA show floor for its wall-hugging design at a thickness of under 9 millimeters — fitting everything from the TV's main board to its speakers within 1 centimeter.

Baek Seon-pil, LG Electronics' display CX division vice president, said the LG Signature OLED W uses a 60-gigahertz high-band frequency for wireless transmission, allowing installation up to 10 meters from the source unit. "It delivers a truly wireless experience with no latency," he said.

The LG Sound Suite, which won in the audio category, supports wireless Dolby Atmos FlexConnect and automatically detects speaker positions within a room to deliver optimized three-dimensional sound. The LG Electronics booth, which opened Friday (local time), drew crowds of visitors eager to try the Sound Suite.

Five additional products earned excellence awards: the 2026 LG OLED Evo AI, the premium LCD TV lineups LG Micro RGB TV and LG Mini RGB TV, the portable screen LG StanbyME 2 Max, and the party Bluetooth speaker LG XBOOM Stage 501.
