Eight colleges and EBS jointly develop AI ethics course

Keimyung College University announced Friday that it has jointly developed a course titled "AI Ethics Stories in Everyday Life" with seven other colleges — Dongwon Institute of Science and Technology, Baekseok Culture University, Seoil University, Ansan University, Yuhan University, Jeju Tourism University and Chungcheong University — as well as EBS.

The joint curriculum was developed as part of a college innovation support project.

The eight colleges worked with EBS to co-develop remote education content for use across institutions, jointly designing the learning objectives, course content and assessment framework for the syllabus.

Each college contributed lecture topics and faculty based on its own areas of expertise, allowing the educational strengths of individual institutions to be effectively incorporated into the shared curriculum.

Going forward, the consortium plans to expand credit recognition to other colleges beyond the participating institutions, while also extending the program into AI education and certification offerings for community members.

The collaboration marks the second joint achievement by the eight colleges and EBS, following last year's development of an inter-college AI education model through the "AI Office Competency Micro-Degree" program.

"By sharing educational resources and expertise across institutions and building on the joint curriculum developed in partnership with EBS, we will strengthen students' AI ethics competencies and continue to expand AI education cooperation among colleges," said Park Seung-ho, president of Keimyung College University.
