Company delivers holiday goods to elderly residents living alone near Gwangju and Gokseong-gun factories

Kumho Tire has delivered holiday goods to underprivileged residents in communities surrounding its factories ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The company said Thursday it carried out its "Neighbor Love Campaign," distributing ritual food offerings and groceries worth 10 million won ($7,390) to about 200 elderly residents living alone near its Gwangju and Gokseong-gun factories.
The handover ceremonies were held at the Eo-ryong-dong Community Service Center in Gwangsan-gu and the Immyeon Community Office in Gokseong-gun, South Jeolla Province.
The holiday goods drive, one of Kumho Tire's signature community outreach programs, has been held every Chuseok since 2002 and is now in its 25th year.
Held ahead of both the Lunar New Year and Chuseok each year, the initiative aims to help elderly residents living alone enjoy a warmer holiday season and to give back to the local communities that have long supported the company.
To date, the company has delivered holiday goods to about 11,800 residents.
Beyond the holiday food drives, Kumho Tire also holds an annual kimchi-sharing event at year's end and offers free tire inspections as part of its broader corporate social responsibility efforts, reinforcing its role as a homegrown regional company.
