Singer Solbi to wed actor Lee Kyu-han next year

Singer and painter Solbi, 42, whose real name is Kwon Ji-an, and actor Lee Kyu-han, 46, are set to marry next year.

Solbi's agency Jian Castle said Thursday that the couple recently met each other's families and have begun making wedding preparations in earnest.

The two appeared together last year on the KBS Joy variety program "Oraedoen Mannam Chugu," a show about long-standing relationships.

Solbi debuted in 2006 as a member of the mixed-gender group Typhoon and has since built a career spanning solo music and television appearances. She took up painting in 2010 and has been active as a visual artist as well, winning the Global Artist Award — the top prize at the 2021 Barcelona International Art Awards.

Lee debuted in 1998 in the MBC drama series "Sarang-gwa Seonggong" (Love and Success) and has appeared in numerous productions, including "My Lovely Sam Soon," "Ke Sera Sera," the "Makdwaemeogeun Yeong-ae-ssi" series, "Gwigung" and "Jiogeseo On Pansa" (Judge from Hell).
