Samsung Asset Management announced Thursday that its KODEX US Nasdaq 100 ETF has surpassed 10 trillion won ($7.47 billion) in net assets.

The fund crossed the threshold roughly five and a half years after its listing in April 2021, setting the fastest record among all domestic ETFs tracking the US Nasdaq 100 index.

The Nasdaq 100 is one of the most closely watched US benchmarks, comprising 100 leading companies in the global AI and technology sectors — including Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, Broadcom, Amazon and Google.

The index's broad exposure to globally innovative companies has made it a core holding for retail investors pursuing long-term accumulation strategies and pension accounts.

Retail investors' net purchases of KODEX US Nasdaq 100 reached 3.3 trillion won this year, the highest among all domestic ETFs tracking the Nasdaq 100.

Analysts attribute the fund's popularity to its performance and precise index-tracking capability. The ETF has maintained a low tracking error while posting returns of 11.78 percent year-to-date, 50.04 percent over two years and 102.18 percent over three years.

"KODEX US Nasdaq 100 has reached the meaningful milestone of 10 trillion won in net assets," said Lim Tae-hyeok, head of ETF management at Samsung Asset Management. "This achievement reflects our customers' trust in Samsung Asset Management's investment capabilities, proven through rigorous tracking error management and long-term performance."

Samsung Asset Management has also recently launched two additional ETFs: KODEX US AI Agent Active, which concentrates on companies poised to benefit from the rise of AI agents, and KODEX US AI Memory TOP2 Plus, which targets data storage companies emerging as a bottleneck in the AI industry.
