'Urs' and 'Quattro' hit pharmacy shelves to meet growing demand for specialized vitamins
Ildong Pharmaceutical has launched a new vitamins brand called Superamine.
The company introduced two products under the brand — Urs and Quattro — both available as over-the-counter drugs at pharmacies. Superamine products are designed to offer options tailored to a customer's purpose of use and health condition, based on pharmacist consultations. The company said the lineup is indicated for physical fatigue and reduced stamina, muscle, joint and nerve pain, and conditions such as mouth ulcers, glossitis and dermatitis.
Superamine Urs is built around the concept of a "fatigue-recovery solution with 17 ingredients." Five of the nine B vitamins involved in energy production, metabolism and nerve function are formulated in their active forms. Active vitamin B1 combines fursultiamine and benfotiamine in a balanced ratio. The product also contains taurine, ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), betaine hydrochloride, orotic acid hydrate, glucuronolactone and choline tartrate to support everyday fatigue management through a well-rounded ingredient profile, the company said.
Superamine Quattro was developed as a fatigue-recovery supplement built on a "four-season health solution" concept. It contains 19 ingredients, including 11 B vitamins — six in active form — along with vitamin D, magnesium, taurine, UDCA, choline tartrate and inositol.
Ildong now operates two over-the-counter vitamins brands alongside its existing Aronamin line.
"Demand for vitamin supplements is diversifying as people's lifestyle patterns and health conditions vary," a company official said. "We are responding by introducing an additional brand with a more specialized profile, differentiated in ingredient composition and other product attributes."
