Yuhan is launching a new joint and cartilage health supplement called the Chondroitin 1200 Gold Stick.
The product's main ingredient is an individually recognized chondroitin sulfate certified by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its potential to support joint and cartilage health. Each stick pack contains 1,200 mg — the recommended daily intake — allowing for adequate joint care with just one serving a day, the company said.
The ingredient also underwent a 90-day, placebo-controlled human clinical trial involving 137 Korean adults. Participants with knee joint pain who consumed the ingredient showed marked improvement in joint pain, stiffness and walking indicators after four weeks compared with the placebo group.
The formula is further bolstered by a range of secondary ingredients popular in joint health products, including turmeric, hyaluronic acid, boswellia extract, fish collagen, vitamins and minerals.
Designed for those who have difficulty swallowing pills, the product comes in a liquid stick format — one 18-milliliter pack per day. The company said it gave the supplement a pear-and-bellflower flavor to appeal to a broad range of consumers. It will also be available online in small packs of 10 sticks, letting new customers try it without a large upfront commitment.
"We raised the overall quality by strengthening secondary ingredients such as turmeric, boswellia and hyaluronic acid alongside the individually recognized main ingredient," a Yuhan official said. "We expect a strong response from those looking for a convenient way to manage their joint health."
