The partnership establishes a public-private cooperation framework, including operation of a support center for specific buildings, to enhance architectural consultation and administrative support for residents.
Seoul's Gangseo-gu has joined forces with the Gangseo-gu Architects Association to raise the expertise of its building administration and strengthen building safety management.
The district office signed an MOU with the association Thursday on "strengthening cooperation in building administration."
The agreement covers consultation support for residents on building laws and regulations, technical assistance and advisory services in the event of building safety incidents, education to prevent illegal construction, and enhanced safety management at building demolition sites.
Under the MOU, the two organizations will build a close cooperation framework focused on advancing architectural culture and improving the efficiency of building administration.
Alongside this, they agreed to pool their efforts in operating a support center for specific buildings. The district office will provide administrative support, including a suitable venue for the center, while the architects association will dispatch licensed architects for professional consultations and handle the production of promotional materials.
District Mayor Jin Kyo-hoon said he hopes the agreement will enable the district to deliver systematic, high-quality building administration services. "We will continue to pursue administration that provides real, practical help to residents, grounded in a public-private cooperation framework," he said.
