Gyeonguk National University President Jeong Tae-ju attended the opening ceremony of a King Sejong Institute at Namangan State Technical University in Uzbekistan on Wednesday, reinforcing the foundation for educational cooperation between the two countries.
The ceremony brought together key officials from both institutions, including Jeong and Gyeonguk National University Admissions Cooperation Director Kim Byeong-gyu, as well as the president and vice president of Namangan State Technical University, Namangan provincial government officials and the head of the King Sejong Institute.
During official talks with the Namangan State Technical University president and the institute director, Jeong's delegation held in-depth discussions on practical measures to recruit international students — including pathways for King Sejong Institute graduates to enroll in undergraduate and graduate programs at Gyeonguk National University — as well as plans for jointly operated curricula.
"We will continue to work closely with local institutions to actively attract talented international students with global competencies and drive the mutual growth of both universities," Jeong said.
