President Lee Jae Myung paid a surprise visit to the Chunchugwan press facility at Cheong Wa Dae on Monday, sitting down with reporters for an informal exchange.
Lee arrived at the Chunchugwan around noon and joined reporters for lunch, engaging in wide-ranging conversation. After the meal, he held an off-the-record session with the resident press corps lasting about an hour and a half, covering key policy issues.
It was the second time this year that Lee met informally — outside any official briefing format — with the Cheong Wa Dae press corps, following a similar session in July. He had also visited the Chunchugwan in December last year to meet with reporters after relocating his presidential office there.
