Dongdaemun-gu holds 2026 online and offline job fair to ease hiring and job-search difficulties
On-site interviews, career lectures, resume consulting and employment counseling among offerings
Dongdaemun-gu in Seoul will host the "2026 Dongdaemun-gu Online and Offline Job Fair" to create local employment opportunities and ease difficulties faced by both job seekers and hiring companies.
The online component has been running on the fair's dedicated website from Oct. 1 through Thursday, while the in-person event will be held Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the multipurpose auditorium on the second floor of the Dongdaemun-gu district office.
Fifteen companies from a range of industries will operate interview booths at the offline fair. Job seekers wishing to participate can check information on participating companies through the Goyong24 website and register in advance for on-site interviews. Those who have not pre-registered may still sign up through the Dongdaemun-gu Job Center at the venue on the day.
A career lecture on 2026 hiring trends, led by a career consultant from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, will be held in the second conference room on the first below-ground floor of the district office. The session runs about an hour and a half starting at 3 p.m. Thursday, and advance registration is available through the online fair website.
Partner organizations at the fair include the career centers of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and the University of Seoul, as well as the Seoul50Plus Foundation's East Campus and the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office. These organizations will run booths offering employment policy guidance, resume and cover letter consulting, job preference assessments, and career counseling for middle-aged job seekers, providing practical support to applicants of all ages.
Side events will also be available, including professional headshot photography, personal color analysis and an AI interview simulation.
"I sincerely hope this job fair will be an opportunity for hiring companies to find outstanding talent, and a precious chance for job seekers to realize their dream of employment," Dongdaemun-gu District Mayor Choi Dong-min said.
