Indukwon Hyundai Service opens in Anyang, bringing network to 17 locations
Expansion to focus on areas with service gaps
Hyundai Motor said Tuesday it will expand Grand Blue Hands, its large-scale premium service network, to strengthen customer service competitiveness.
The company has completed 17 Grand Blue Hands locations nationwide, including the newly opened Indukwon Hyundai Service at 367 Siminno, Dongan-gu, Anyang, Gyeonggi Province. Hyundai Motor plans to grow the network to 30 locations by 2029. By region, the breakdown will be seven in the Greater Seoul area, four in the Honam region, three in the Chungcheong region, two in the Gyeongsang region and one in Gangwon Province.
Grand Blue Hands locations are being developed either by upgrading existing Blue Hands centers or by establishing new sites, with the aim of improving the maintenance environment, enhancing customer convenience and delivering a differentiated service experience. Each facility is larger than a standard Blue Hands center, equipped with the latest maintenance equipment and customer amenity spaces, and offers a broader range of services.
The centers provide services tailored to the distinct characteristics of the Hyundai Motor and Genesis brands, and operate in one of two configurations depending on the facility layout. The integrated type houses separate customer lounges and maintenance work areas for each brand within a single building. The standalone type gives each brand its own dedicated building, handling everything from vehicle intake to repair in separate spaces. The newly opened Indukwon Hyundai Service follows the standalone model, with dedicated buildings for Hyundai Motor and Genesis.
Hyundai Motor currently operates 1,226 service locations nationwide, comprising 22 Hi-Tech Centers and 1,204 Blue Hands outlets. In July, the company relocated a center from Yeongtong-gu, Suwon to Giheung-gu, Yongin and opened the Suwon Hi-Tech Center, a facility specializing in advanced maintenance.
"It is important to provide a differentiated customer experience not only through product competitiveness but throughout the entire period of vehicle ownership," a Hyundai Motor official said. "We will continue to expand Grand Blue Hands to deliver more comfortable and professional maintenance services and raise customer satisfaction."
Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor has launched a new service that draws on manufacturer vehicle data to provide more detailed information on the driving history and current condition of certified pre-owned vehicles. For electric vehicles, the company is expanding the scope of information available to include not only remaining battery performance but also charge and discharge records and individual cell status.
