63rd autumn academic conference of Korean Career Education Association
Forum to cover AI-driven personalized career guidance, university programs and adult lifelong learning
A forum bringing together researchers and educators to explore how artificial intelligence can deliver personalized career guidance — and how career education begun in school can extend into adult lifelong learning — is set for Wednesday.
The Korea Employment Information Service will co-host the 63rd Autumn Academic Conference of the Korean Career Education Association from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Mugungwha Hall in Seoul National University's Hoam Faculty House. The Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training and the National Youth Policy Institute are co-organizers. The conference theme is "Building an Ecosystem for Integrated Career Education."
The program opens with a keynote address by Jung Chul-young, emeritus professor at Seoul National University, followed by four thematic presentations. Kim Hyo-jeong, a division head at the Korea Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation, will outline the direction career education should take in an era of job creation, while Lee Jeong-min, a research fellow at the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training, will introduce AI-based approaches to personalized career guidance.
Choi Young-soon, a team leader at the Korea Employment Information Service, will present on innovation and development in university-level career education, and Jung Jin-cheol, a professor at Seoul National University, will address the future of adult career education in a lifelong-learning society. A general discussion session moderated by Yang Jong-guk, president of the Korean Career Education Association, will focus on how to put into practice a career education model connecting schools, universities, businesses and local communities.
The Korea Employment Information Service conducts occupational information research, develops vocational psychology assessments and distributes tailored employment-readiness programs. It also operates Goyong24, the government's integrated online employment service platform.
