Daegu Catholic University's Graduate School and its RISE Lifelong Education System Innovation Project Group announced Monday that they recently hosted an information session on the "North Gyeongsang Province Wide-Area Visa Pilot Program" to support international students in settling locally and securing employment.
The session covered the key details of the North Gyeongsang wide-area visa pilot program, including visa conversion and residency systems for international students, region-specific employment-linked policies, local settlement and lifestyle support programs, and guidance on employment and residency consultations.
A representative from the Gyeongsan City Family Center explained the program and fielded questions to help students better understand it, providing practical information on visa conversion procedures, regional employment pathways and settlement support systems.
"We plan to continue operating tailored support programs that link employment with long-term residency, so we can actively help international students put down roots in the region," a university official said.
